Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior AI Software Developer to advance national air traffic management systems through AI-enabled technologies, automation, and cloud-based solutions. This on-site role is based in Gaithersburg, MD or Egg Harbor Township, NJ, offering a path to shape mission-critical software for millions of air travelers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise software applications and distributed systems.
• Experience building microservices-based architectures using Java, Python, C++, or similar technologies within Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, Agile methodologies, and software development best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead Agile sprint planning, technical execution, and team collaboration efforts to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based applications using modern software engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, product owners, DevSecOps, QA, and architecture teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop and integrate APIs, databases, messaging systems, and event-driven services within distributed environments.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding efficiency, software quality, debugging, testing, and system reliability.
