Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Senior AI Software Developer to modernize national air traffic management systems for a federal client. You will architect, develop, and deliver microservices-based solutions in a SAFe/Agile environment, leveraging AI-assisted development and data-driven tools.

The role is in Gaithersburg, MD with a hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite and eligibility for a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience, or Master’s with 6+ years.
• Experience designing and supporting microservices architectures.
• Strong programming in Java, Python, C++, or similar in Linux environments.
• Exposure to AI-enabled applications or AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience in Agile software development environments.
• Understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems, and SOA.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Pass government background screenings.

• Use AI-powered development tools to improve coding efficiency.
