Swift Solar seeks a senior software engineer to build AI-powered tools that accelerate solar science. You will create planning and reasoning systems to guide scientists, translate research into production, and improve data pipelines across lab and manufacturing data.

You will work with scientists experienced in perovskites and AI, contribute to public papers, and help advance a future-ready solar platform in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Full-stack web applications with Python backend and TS/JS frontend.
• Frontier LLM apps via APIs and tool invocation.
• Prototype to production transition capability.
• Daily use of AI coding tools.
• CS degree or equivalent open-source/portfolio work.
• Well-documented, tested code in a shared Git repo.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered products that accelerate scientific progress.
• Read literature and query lab/manufacturing data to propose experiments.
• Develop planning and reasoning layer for multi-agent guidance of scientists.
• Measure performance of frontier models and agents to improve systems.
• Publish findings in papers or present at conferences.
