Job summary

Luma, based in San Francisco, seeks a senior hands-on security leader to build security foundations for its growing AI platform. You’ll design identity and access infrastructure, enforce least privilege, and partner with product, research, and infra teams to ship secure by default patterns.

You will lead threat modeling, audits, and incident response, ensuring enterprise readiness while maintaining rapid development velocity in a world‑class AI environment.

Qualifications

• Built and operated security foundations in real production environments.
• Excellent at writing code, reviewing infrastructure, and shipping systems.
• AI platforms require services, automations, or models to be scoped and observed.

Responsibilities

• Design and mature access to production systems and governance.
• Implement scalable RBAC/ABAC across infrastructure and products.
• Build robust secrets management and credential lifecycle practices.
• Establish strong encryption and key management patterns.
• Define how agents receive authority, how it is scoped and revoked.
• Create auditability and forensic visibility for actions.
• Lead threat modeling across infrastructure, product, and research domains.
• Collaborate with engineering to make secure patterns easy and automatic.
• Drive readiness for enterprise security reviews and audits.
• Strengthen incident detection and response capabilities.
• Raise the company’s security bar while preserving velocity.
