Job summary

Aegis AI is seeking a Staff or Senior Staff engineer to build the next generation of security products. This highly technical role offers leadership trajectory, owning hard problems, shipping code, and setting direction for a growing team. NY/SF in-person preferred, open to remote.

You will work across detection systems, distributed infra, and AI inference to produce robust security solutions with measurable impact in production.

Qualifications

• Experience operating at Staff-level technical scope and leading technically complex systems and teams.
• Proven ability to build production security systems with low false positives and reliable latency.
• Strong written and verbal communication, capable of influencing across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship core security product features and systems.
• Set technical direction and mentor engineers to raise the team’s capabilities.
• Collaborate across detection systems, data platforms, and AI components to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Lead projects and engineers; participate in hiring and shaping the team.
• Translate ambiguous security problems into robust production implementations.
