Job summary

GEICO seeks a Senior Security Engineer to strengthen the security of AI-enabled products and the engineering platforms that support them. This role blends product security judgment with hands-on software development.

The engineer will assess designs, review code, build security automation, and partner with engineering and product teams to translate business needs and security requirements into practical, production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Solid professional experience in software/security engineering or related field.
• Hands-on coding and debugging with Python or similar language.
• Experience with GitHub, database tech (PostgreSQL), and CI/CD.
• Practial experience with threat modeling and secure design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Provide team technical leadership for AI security and security engineering work.
• Design, build, test, deploy, and troubleshoot security services and tooling.
• Perform threat modeling and security reviews for AI-enabled apps and APIs.
• Translate security requirements into technical plans and measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and risk teams to remove blockers.
