AXIS Capital invites a security-focused engineer to design, develop, and operationalize secure, AI-driven capabilities within risk and security operations. You will build AI-powered agents to augment detection, investigation, and response workflows, while enforcing strong controls for Copilot and Azure Foundry.

The role emphasizes data protection, human-in-the-loop oversight, and governance across Microsoft Purview and 365 suites.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master’s preferred), OR equivalent experience leading enterprise-scale security engineering initiatives
5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, data protection, or security engineering
Proven experience designing and securing enterprise AI platforms, including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI Foundry
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft security and compliance ecosystems, including Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID security architecture
Proven expertise in Data Security and Protection, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data classification, sensitivity labeling, and lifecycle management
Demonstrated ability to architect and lead enterprise security solutions, including strategy, roadmaps, and cross-functional initiatives
Strong development and automation capabilities, including Python, PowerShell, TypeScript, secure API integration, CI/CD, test automation, and AI-enabled workflows on Azure
Experience with security analytics and telemetry, including interpreting logs from Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoints, and AI systems
Ability to lead in complex, ambiguous environments, prioritizing high-impact outcomes and mentoring junior engineers

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and operationalize AI security capabilities across risk and security operations
Build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered security agents to augment detection, investigation, and response workflows
Identify high-value AI use cases to accelerate analyst productivity and outcomes
Continuously validate agent performance, accuracy, and reliability in real-world operations
Enforce strong security controls for enterprise AI platforms (e.g., Copilot, Azure Foundry)
Mitigate AI-specific risks including data leakage, prompt injection, and unauthorized access
Establish evaluation practices for agent accuracy, hallucination risk, and auditability
Ensure human-in-the-loop oversight to challenge and retrain AI-driven outcomes
Deploy and optimize Microsoft Purview capabilities across M365 and AI platforms
Implement DLP controls for AI interactions to prevent data exposure
Monitor and tune data protection policies to meet regulatory needs
Define and enforce access controls and auditability for AI agents and workflows
Ensure AI-driven processes align with Zero Trust and least privilege
Evaluate and onboard new AI tools and agents with a security-first approach
Monitor AI platform activity to detect anomalies and policy violations
Support incident response and integrate AI workflows with SIEM/XDR platforms
Lead enterprise rollout of AI governance and data security programs
In complex environments, mentor engineers and drive risk-aware decision making
