Job summary

Cisco’s Enterprise AI team is hiring a Security Engineer to embed guardrails across design, development, testing, and deployment of AI-powered applications. You will secure CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes workloads, and cloud environments, defining secure coding standards and software supply chain protections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field with 6+ years of cybersecurity or cloud security engineering experience.
• 3+ years securing GCP, Azure, or AWS in production environments.
• Experience integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes environments.
• Experience securing AI/ML workloads and Generative AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Embed security into the Secure SDLC by defining and implementing guardrails across design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
• Integrate and optimize application security tooling (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning) within CI/CD pipelines to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews for cloud-native and microservices-based applications.
• Drive container and Kubernetes security practices, including image hardening, vulnerability management, and runtime controls.
• Define and enforce API security standards (authentication, authorization, rate limiting).
• Partner with engineering teams to triage, prioritize, and remediate security findings.
• Establish secure coding standards and guidance on common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
• Enhance software supply chain security through dependency management and build pipeline protections.
