Job summary

Tenable is seeking an AI Security Engineer to shape and mature security for AI across Tenable’s products and enterprise. The role focuses on securing AI systems, designing security controls, and guiding engineering teams in secure AI development and deployment.

You will lead assessments, implement safeguards, and contribute to ESG TFs while staying ahead of AI threat vectors and industry standards, with collaboration across product and security teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in information security or application security
• 1–2 years focused on securing AI/ML systems
• Strong coding in Python and/or Go
• Experience with AI security frameworks and tools

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end security controls across the AI/ML lifecycle
• Conduct AI safety research and threat modeling for AI/ML systems
• Develop security guardrails for LLMs/SLMs and open-source models
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate security into AI development and deployment
• Drive SSDLC and DevSecOps practices for AI-powered products
• Create security guidance, docs, and training for internal teams
