Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer – AI Security Operations to protect AI platforms, models, and data in active use. You will lead ongoing assessment, monitoring, testing, and response with specialized AI security tools and collaborate across AI engineering, data science, and risk teams.

The role requires hands-on security engineering for AI/ML systems, experience with red teaming, guardrails, model evaluation, and AI SPM, plus strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS, InfoSec, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML security.
• Experience with AI security tools (red teaming, guardrails, model evaluation).
• Experience implementing defensive controls to mitigate OWASP Top 10 for LLMs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve AI security tooling and incident response.
• Collaborate with AI engineering, data science, and risk teams on security controls.
• Monitor and assess AI systems throughout development and production lifecycle.
• Develop SOPs and runbooks for AI security operations.
