Job summary

Norstella is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the remote US team. You will collaborate with product partners to apply AI/ML to our pharma content and products, and deploy production-grade solutions with cross-functional teams.

You will lead research into state-of-the-art AI/ML techniques, prototype and test concepts, and mentor junior team members while delivering end-to-end data-driven solutions for healthcare customers.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of AI/ML application development experience.
• Strong Python and core data science libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, LangChain).
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation.
• Breadth across AI/ML techniques such as Generative AI, NLP, Deep Learning.
• Understanding of CS fundamentals, complexity, and algorithm design.
• Ability to engineer and deploy well-architected software packages.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; able to own and execute a project.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product partners to identify AI/ML opportunities for content and products.
• Conduct research and identify AI/ML algorithms to solve business problems.
• Implement rigorous testing and review results with multi-disciplinary teams for product development.
• Deploy solutions as production-grade microservices with engineering and DevOps teams.
• Contribute to common data science platforms and data assets.
• Stay up-to-date on advances and present findings to internal teams.
• All other duties, as assigned.
