Job summary

Tempus is seeking a Senior AI Scientist to drive multimodal AI research for precision medicine. You will design, train and deploy models leveraging pathology, genomics, spatial omics, and longitudinal data to transform patient care.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• 1+ years of industry experience leading end-to-end ML development.
• Expertise in large-scale deep learning and training production-grade models.
• Experience in computer vision and multimodal modeling (pathology, multi-omics) preferred.
• Strong publication record in ML or computer vision venues; medical AI publications preferred.
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch; solid software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Technical Contribution: high-impact individual contributor role with significant hands-on work.
• Design and train state-of-the-art multimodal models using pathology slides, genomics data, spatial omics, and longitudinal records.
• Collaborate with life sciences companies on biomarker discovery, therapy outcome prediction, and CDx development.
• Ensure regulatory alignment and compliance with healthcare guidelines and quality standards.
• Publish original research and engage with the global AI research community.
