Amazon in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to lead high-impact AI projects across the Frontier AI tooling team. You will own end-to-end problems, partner with AWS Sales to translate business questions into scalable ML solutions, and raise the bar for scientific rigor through mentorship.

You will develop GenAI agents, knowledge graphs, and modeling for sales and delivery use cases, using Python, PySpark, and SQL to deliver trusted results in production environments.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's with 6+ years of ML modeling experience for business applications.
• Experience with SQL and Python scripting.
• Strong written and verbal communication for executives and non-technical leaders.
• Experience deploying ML products.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of complex science problems: framing, data exploration, modeling, evaluation, and deployment.
• Set technical direction on ambiguous problems and decisions for others to build on.
• Collaborate with Sales & Delivery to translate business questions into well-scoped science and actionable recommendations.
• Raise the scientific bar through design reviews, mentorship, and hands-on guidance.
• Communicate methods, trade-offs, and results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Use Python, PySpark, and SQL for data analysis and model development.
