Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist for the SIADS team to own high-value ML problems end-to-end, from framing with business leaders to deploying models that impact the AWS Sales organization.

You will lead in GenAI, knowledge graphs, and recommender systems, partnering with customers across AWS Sales to deliver trusted solutions and scale the science across teams.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree with 6+ years of ML modeling experience.
• Strong SQL and Python scripting abilities.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executives and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience delivering ML products from concept to production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Own ambiguous, high-value ML problems end-to-end from framing to deployment.
• Set technical direction for problems lacking clear approaches.
• Collaborate with Sales and business stakeholders to translate questions into science and actionable insights.
• Mentor and lead other scientists to raise the scientific bar.
