BNY is seeking a senior hands-on software engineer to build and scale AI-powered solutions for Wealth & Investment Management. You will design intelligent workflows, analytics, and data products that enhance portfolio construction, research, and advisor productivity.

You will collaborate with investment professionals, data scientists, and engineers to deliver production-grade AI solutions, apply quantitative methods, and advance retrieval-augmented capabilities across our platforms.

Qualifications

Strong mathematical and analytical foundation with ability to apply quantitative concepts to real-world investment challenges.
Proficient in Python and data analysis libraries; apply software engineering best practices.
Experience with financial data sets, investment platforms, and market data vendors.
Familiarity with cloud-native development, APIs, databases, and modern SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

Design and develop AI-powered applications, intelligent workflows, and agent-based solutions for Wealth & Investment Management objectives.
Build portfolio analytics, research, and decision-support tools using diverse data sources.
Integrate and operationalize data from multiple financial platforms to create scalable AI-ready data products.
Develop APIs, data pipelines, automation frameworks, and reusable components to accelerate delivery.
Apply quantitative techniques to support portfolio construction, risk analysis, and investment insights.
Assist in retrieval, embedding, semantic search, and knowledge-driven capabilities for investment workflows.
