Job summary

Responsibilities include designing ML models, evaluating trust and explainability, guiding system implementations, and communicating results to technical and government stakeholders while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in data science, computer science, applied mathematics, physics, or related STEM field.
• Strong AI/ML expertise with stakeholder engagement and requirements scoping.
• Proven ability in translating quantitative results for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading technical tasks or PI roles on government-funded programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of ML/AI models and recommendations for skill selection or staff profiles.
• Understand requirements addressing trust, explainability, and modern ML characteristics.
• Serve as technical lead coordinating AI engineers and researchers.
• Translate mission needs into system requirements and architectures.
• Design experiments and statistical studies evaluating traditional and generative AI.
• Develop analytic pipelines and metrics for real-world data.
• Translate results into actionable insights for technical teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to proposals, system designs, and customer deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and promote best practices in AI system development.
