Job summary

IQVIA is seeking an AI Scientist Manager to design and deliver bespoke AI solutions for pharmaceutical and life sciences customers. You will work hands-on to drive use-case discovery, PoCs, and production deployment in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and present complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet business goals and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• Extensive domain experience in Life Sciences.
• Advanced degree in CS, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field preferred.
• Strong experience managing complex client projects, preferably in Life Sciences R&D.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and modern AI architectures, including Generative AI, foundation models, and agentic AI.
• Experience with Python and LangChain/LangGraph is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in SFT, DPO, PPO, and Reward Modeling.
• Experience deploying ML models at scale on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Deliver proofs of concept (PoCs) that demonstrate the potential and value of Generative AI solutions.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in Generative AI and Machine Learning and apply them to real-world business challenges.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Present and clearly explain AI solutions to non-technical stakeholders in customer-facing engagements.
• Apply consulting principles to deliver tailored AI solutions aligned with customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and directly with pharmaceutical and life sciences clients to address business challenges using Generative AI.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders on assigned engagements.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to build, deploy, and scale AI/ML solutions in production environments.
