Job summary

FAR.AI, a Berkeley‑based non-profit focused on AI safety, seeks a Senior Programs & Strategy Manager to lead event programming from concept to execution. You will shape agendas, curate speakers, target attendees, and manage post‑event impact.

• Extensive experience designing agendas for technical, academic, or policy‑focused events.
• Ability to translate strategic goals into session structure and room composition.
• Strong instinct for speaker selection and audience targeting.

Responsibilities

• Design agendas for FAR.AI’s events portfolio (12+ events/year) from theory of change to session structure and attendee composition.
• Lead speaker invitations and engagement, draft outreach, and ensure speakers align with event goals.
• Develop attendee sourcing strategies and manage pre/post‑event outreach to priority stakeholders.
• Design and steward post‑event continuity formats, including working groups and follow‑on convenings.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior researchers, policymakers, and field-builders to attract quality participants.
• Collaborate across tracks to ensure coherence and high-quality program outputs.
• Proficiency with project management tools and CRM processes to support scaling.
