Summit Tech Partners is seeking a senior AI risk and governance lead to drive risk assessments, governance programs, and regulatory alignment across AI initiatives. You will collaborate with legal, security, procurement, and tech teams to ensure safe adoption of AI solutions at scale.

The role requires experience in AI governance, risk management, and stakeholder management within enterprise environments. This on-site position offers clear governance ownership and impact across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technology risk, compliance, information security, or IT governance.
  • 2+ years focused on AI, machine learning, or AI governance.
  • Experience administering or supporting AI governance platforms.
  • Hands-on experience developing or improving governance frameworks, risk assessments, and review processes.
  • Knowledge of AI governance and risk management frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, or similar.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Conduct AI and generative AI risk assessments and provide mitigation recommendations.
  • Evaluate new AI tools, models, and use cases against established governance standards.
  • Manage and improve AI governance workflows within the organization's governance platform.
  • Review third-party AI vendors and contracts for compliance, security, and risk considerations.
  • Develop and maintain scalable governance processes, controls, and reporting.
  • Monitor emerging AI regulations and industry standards, translating requirements into actionable policies.
  • Present findings and recommendations to business leaders and governance committees.
  • Partner with legal, security, procurement, and technology teams to support responsible AI adoption.
