Job summary

Zoom is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the Agentic Retrieval team. You will design core retrieval and reasoning systems powering Zoom’s AI Companion, enabling enterprise knowledge search, reasoning, and actionable answers at scale.

The role sits within the GenAI Engineering org and requires building production-grade AI capabilities with a multi-tenant retrieval platform and impactful collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in computer science, AI, or a related field.
• 5+ years in ML, search infra, information retrieval, or distributed systems.
• Experience building and operating large-scale search or data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable retrieval systems including vector and hybrid search.
• Develop RAG pipelines for multi-step agentic AI applications.
• Build ranking, grounding, and evaluation for search quality.
• Create indexing pipelines transforming enterprise data for retrieval.
• Develop NLP pipelines to support agentic reasoning over content.
• Collaborate with product, infra, and research teams to ship capabilities.
