Placements24 is seeking an experienced AI Product Manager to shape the strategy, roadmap, and feature definitions for next-generation AI-powered products based in Upington, Northern Cape. You will collaborate with engineering, research, marketing, and sales to translate complex AI concepts into compelling product visions and user experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, with a significant focus on AI/ML products or emerging technologies.
• Proven track record of launching successful technology products.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, capabilities, and limitations.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with data science and software development lifecycles.
• Experience in B2B SaaS products is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-powered products.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and customer needs.
• Translate customer requirements and market insights into detailed product specifications and user stories.
• Prioritize product backlog and manage development sprints in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Work closely with AI researchers and engineers to understand technical feasibility and explore innovative solutions.
• Develop go-to-market strategies and collaborate with marketing and sales teams on product launches.
• Define and track key product metrics, analyzing performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of advancements in AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure product development aligns with company strategy and market demands.
