Job summary

Charles Schwab in San Francisco invites a Senior Product Manager, AI, to lead the development of client-facing GenAI experiences within Schwab's AI.x team. You will partner with engineering, research, compliance, and business enablement to shape AI products aligned with enterprise goals.

The role emphasizes user-centered design, measurable metrics, and a bias toward action to deliver impactful GenAI capabilities while maintaining regulatory standards in financial services.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree.
• 7–10+ years IT or product development experience.
• 5+ years direct product experience.
• 3+ years collaborating with software engineers.
• Deep knowledge of GenAI systems, including LLMs, RAG, prompts, and multi-step AI workflows.
• Strong understanding of statistics and probability basics.
• Demonstrable experience building generative AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Schwab's client-facing AI experiences.
• Partner with R&D to define evaluation strategies for measuring AI output quality.
• Define metrics to estimate hallucination impact, output acceptance, and safety concerns.
• Communicate key metrics to technical and non-technical stakeholders over time and impact.
• Distill MVPs and iterative deliverables from long-term product visions and goals.
• Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including user research and go-to-market.
• Advocate for strong user experience incorporating feedback and analytics.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout development.
• Build enablement and onboarding plans for internal teams to leverage tools.
• Prioritize the roadmap to maximize value with each delivery.
