Job summary

Drata is seeking a Senior AI Product Engineer to own the full-stack development of customer-facing AI features, embedded directly within our product teams. You’ll translate LLM capabilities into intuitive experiences—streaming chat interfaces, agentic workflows, and intelligent summaries—that make compliance effortless.

You’ll partner with AI Engineers, Product, and Design to close the loop between capability and customer experience, delivering polished product surfaces at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping full-stack features in production
• 2+ years of experience building AI-powered product features
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript with experience in streaming, real-time data handling
• Solid Python and Node.js engineering skills and API design experience
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and prompt engineering
• Familiarity with agent frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain) and multi-step AI workflows
• Experience with streaming patterns (SSE, WebSockets) and robust UX for AI features
• Collaborative mindset, working with AI/ML engineers, product managers, and designers
• Bonus: domain knowledge in compliance, security, or enterprise documentation

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered product features end-to-end from UI to backend
• Translate AI capabilities into customer-facing interactions
• Define API contracts and outputs for AI features
• Advise on user-centered design and improve product decisions
• Develop feedback loops and observability for AI outputs
• Create reusable patterns for streaming UI and AI state management
• Mentor teammates new to AI product development
