Job summary

Kapwing, a leading prompt-to-edit platform for video creators, is seeking a senior software engineer to own full‑stack features and ML‑powered pipelines for Kapwing Studio and Kapwing AI. You will work on a modern web stack (React, Redux, TypeScript, Node) and build prototypes for new AI-driven capabilities.

You will prototype and test new technologies, implement features, and collaborate with product and growth to reach creators worldwide.

Qualifications

5+ years of production-level software engineering in a modern web stack.
2+ years building on top of LLMs with familiarity modifying files via LLM tooling.
Proficient in React, Redux, TypeScript, Node, automated testing (Cypress, Jest) and tRPC APIs.
Experience prototyping and building new products from scratch and evaluating new web technologies.

Responsibilities

Define, build, and launch full-stack features for a top cloud-based video editor.
Design, test, and implement LLM-powered pipelines to automate visual design and editing tasks.
Prototype and test new technologies and generative models to improve quality and performance.
Test new features, monitor releases, and mitigate risk.
Investigate and prototype new technologies and build apps on ML-powered APIs.
Implement features for Kapwing Studio and other core products, partnering with product and growth.
