Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an experienced software and security engineer to lead the next generation of Attack Surface Management. You will architect AI-powered platforms, automate security investigations, and build scalable orchestration to improve enterprise security operations.

You will collaborate with Cloud, Product Security, IT, and Platform teams to deliver scalable, data-driven security capabilities across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including Kubernetes, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, security engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong development experience with Python, Go, Java, or similar languages for production systems.
• Experience designing APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native apps.
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications and intelligent automation.
• Deep understanding of enterprise security, ASM, cloud, networking, and vulnerability management.
• Experience securing large-scale cloud/hybrid environments across AWS/Azure/GCP, with Kubernetes and IaC/CI/CD.
• Experience integrating security platforms with cloud providers, CMDBs, and engineering tools.
• Ability to lead complex initiatives and communicate with engineers, security practitioners, and executives.
• Passion for applying emerging tech to improve security outcomes and ASM maturity.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and build AI-powered platforms advancing ASM maturity.
• Develop AI-enabled security investigations, remediation guidance, and risk awareness.
• Create automation and orchestration to scale security operations enterprise-wide.
• Integrate security platforms with cloud providers, CMDBs, and engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and security outcomes.
