Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in New Jersey seeks an experienced AI/Platform Engineer to lead the technical delivery of AI agent capabilities and reusable platform components. You will translate architecture into detailed designs and sprint plans while guiding developers on secure, scalable cloud-native implementations.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners and QA to drive end-to-end delivery, establish best practices and support deployment readiness.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on capability in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript and REST APIs.
• Experience with cloud-native patterns, containers and microservices.
• Deep understanding of prompt engineering, agent orchestration and tool integration.
• Ability to enforce engineering standards, secure coding and observability.
• Leadership, mentoring, estimation, planning and stakeholder communication.
• Familiar with compliance, audit logging, model risk controls and responsible AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of AI agent capabilities and reusable platform components.
• Translate architecture into detailed designs, sprint plans and tasks.
• Guide developers on AI patterns, cloud-native implementation and security.
• Build and review core components: orchestration services, APIs, RAG and connectors.
• Coordinate with architects, product owners, UX designers, security SMEs and QA.
• Establish best practices, coding standards and reusable accelerators.
• Support readiness, deployment planning, defect triage and knowledge transfer.
