Job summary

EY is seeking AI Systems Engineers to build and operate the foundational substrate powering EY's AI-native platform. You will own the cloud-native platform, from bare-metal to Kubernetes, across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets.

This role requires deep expertise in Kubernetes, multi-tenancy, and automation, ensuring reliability and portability in regulated client contexts. Strong collaboration with security, architecture, and delivery teams is essential.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS or related field.
• 8+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes distributions (RKE2/EKS/AKS/GKE/K3s).
• Experience across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped deployments.
• Strong cluster networking and multi-tenancy isolation experience.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and scheduling.
• Proven IaC and GitOps background (Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, ArgoCD, Crossplane).
• Ability to work with security, architecture, product, and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the cluster & cloud-native platform: compute, Kubernetes, scheduling, multi-tenancy.
• Manage infrastructure foundation: Ubuntu/OS, bare-metal, DPU, GPU/networking.
• Stand up and manage EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, air-gapped.
• Deliver platform capabilities for downstream runtime and services.
• Own cluster lifecycle, autoscaling, GPU pooling, multi-tenancy boundaries.
• Own secure execution and inference with sandboxed environments.
• Own cognitive routing and model/prompt selection for latency constraints.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD, IaC, GitOps for reproducible envs.
• Ensure backup, DR, and cross-environment replication with patching hygiene.
• Keep substrate modular and swappable to minimize vendor lock-in.
