Job summary

CNBC is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build the next generation of AI-powered equity research. This hybrid role involves 3 days in the Englewood Cliffs office, working across architecture, implementation, and operations with market professionals.

You will design, build, and operate core AI platform components, ensuring reliability, observability, and scalable performance in production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years designing, building, and maintaining software systems.
• Strong backend skills in at least one typed language (preferably TypeScript).
• Experience with AWS and cloud primitives.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end distributed agentic AI solutions that are reliable and scalable.
• Own complex features or subsystems from design through deployment and operation.
• Collaborate to integrate AI capabilities into products and data pipelines.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical standards for AI systems.
• Maintain observability, health metrics, and incident response.
