Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an engineering leader to head a team of SDEs in the Seattle/Bellevue area, building systems that process billions of queries and deliver agentive features used by AWS customers globally.

The role values leadership in ambiguous environments, bias toward action, and mentorship. You will shape architecture, drive execution, and mentor engineers for growth, with a high-visibility impact across the AWS platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of SDEs across Seattle/Bellevue building systems that process billions of queries.
• Drive architecture and design decisions for scalable, reliable services.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews and career growth.
• Partner with product and security teams to deliver customer-facing features at scale.
