Call Box is building a high-performance, AI-native engineering organization. This individual contributor role involves shipping and owning your product, designing features, writing production code daily, and solving hard problems in real-time AI systems with high autonomy and impact.

Qualifications

• CS degree or demonstrated equivalent depth in algorithms, systems design, distributed computing.
• 5+ years building and scaling production systems.
• Expert-level TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong AWS experience (ECS, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, CloudWatch), IAM.
• Infrastructure as code with CDK.
• CI/CD and release automation.
• Production database experience (Postgres).
• Experience integrating with third-party systems such as dealership management systems or comparable API integrations.
• Obsessive about testing, observability, and reliability.

Responsabilités

• Own design, implementation, deployments, and live-site health.
• Develop full conversational AI stack integrations (speech-to-text, text-to-speech, LLMs, telephony).
• Design and implement scalable event-driven architectures.
• Build and maintain observability platforms with CloudWatch, tracing, and cost attribution.
• Lead architecture decisions and engineering standards.
• Drive initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and scalability.
• Mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
