Job summary

Glocomms is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and reliability of an agentic AI platform powering LLM features across the product ecosystem.

The role emphasizes production-grade AI features from backend to front-end, with mentorship and strategic influence across teams. This hands-on position requires independent decision-making and a track record of delivering scalable AI systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience building production systems.
• 3+ years hands-on development of production AI/LLM-powered applications.
• Ownership of complex platforms, services, or system architectures.
• Strong backend development experience with Python and/or Node.js.
• Experience with modern frontend technologies such as React or Next.js.
• Expertise in RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and retrieval optimization.
• Experience designing evaluation frameworks for AI systems, including quality assessment and regression testing.
• Strong API design and development experience.
• Advanced SQL skills and PostgreSQL experience.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with modern AI development tools and workflows.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with ownership and autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Architect AI applications and platform services.
• Lead engineering design reviews and code reviews to improve quality.
• Develop end-to-end AI-powered features and tooling across products.
• Collaborate with data engineering and product teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural standards and practices.
• Represent AI engineering in cross-functional planning discussions.
