Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Principal AI Agent / ML Software Engineer to lead the design and operation of next-generation AI systems on OCI. You will drive architecture, ship scalable agentic platforms, and mentor senior engineers across multi-team environments.

You will stay hands-on in design, code, reviews, and incident follow-up, applying deep distributed systems and AI-native engineering to deliver reliable, secure, observable, and cost-aware AI platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• Proven track record as Staff/Senior Staff/Principal or equivalent leadership.
• Deep experience with high-scale distributed systems and cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with production AI systems and agentic workflows.
• Experience with orchestration frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, LlamaIndex.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical owner for OCI AI platform capabilities (agent execution, inference, model serving).
• Design, architect, and deliver scalable agentic AI systems with reasoning, planning, and tool use.
• Build production-grade services for tool calling, memory, context management, and MCP integration.
• Lead architecture across distributed services for low latency, high throughput, and secure multi-tenant operation.
• Define APIs, data models, SLIs/SLOs, and operational readiness criteria for AI platform services.
• Drive strategy across infrastructure, security, data, and application engineering with multi-quarter plans.
• Integrate AI agents with enterprise APIs, cloud services, databases, and identity systems.
• Establish AgentOps and LLMOps practices for tracing, eval suites, and reliability.
