Job summary

Ericsson in Austin, Texas is seeking a Software Engineer to help build AI governance foundations and foundational developer platforms for AI-assisted software development. This on-site/hybrid role focuses on creating scalable tooling, IP protections, and security integrations across teams.

You will design APIs, CI/CD guardrails, and enterprise tooling, contribute to AI marketplaces, and push adoption from MVP to production. A builder’s mindset and strong collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based development tools.
• Proficiency in designing or integrating APIs, developer tools, plugins, agents, or platform services.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve foundational tooling for AI-assisted software development.
• Develop standards, registries, and reusable components for consistency and reuse.
• Contribute to AI marketplaces with IP scanning, security, and governance.
• Integrate governance and compliance controls into CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
• Design APIs, tools, and services connecting AI assistants, IDEs, and internal platforms.
• Advance agentic IDEs and Code OSS-based experiences.
• Identify gaps in software reuse, IP protection, security, and governance.
• Collaborate with developers, security, platform engineers, and tech leaders to deliver practical solutions.
• Own ambiguous requirements from concept to production adoption.
• Measure adoption, usability, reliability, and impact across the developer community.
