Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the GenAI & Strategic Initiatives team. You will help drive AI integration to enhance productivity of internal teams through adoption of best practices, and create innovative agentic solutions that transform how teams work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (Basic Qualification)
• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Experience shipping Gen AI-powered features at scale from pilot to production and a deep understanding of AI trust and safety considerations
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Responsibilities

• Drive platform architecture decisions and translate requirements into scalable platform capabilities
• Lead internal GenAI adoption and evangelization across internal teams
• Launch cross-functional agents by identifying key use cases and partnering with domain experts
• Evaluate and optimize performance with caching, request optimization, monitoring
• Partner with game developers and platform teams to optimize models through fine-tuning and more
• Build and operate high-scale API infrastructure using Native AWS including Bedrock, SageMaker, etc.
• Ensure enterprise-grade security, compliance and responsible AI as a backbone of all solutions
