Stout, a global advisory firm, is expanding an AI-enabled platform in New York and seeks a senior software engineer to own end-to-end features across the stack. You will work on the LLM-backed core, including data pipelines, extraction, retrieval, chat and content generation, delivering production-ready software.

You’ll use AI coding tools, write clear specs and acceptance criteria, review outputs, and collaborate with consultants, product and design to sharpen requirements while keeping safety

Formación

• Five+ years of professional software engineering across the full stack, shipping and running in production.
• Experience with React, TypeScript and Python; ability to learn a new stack quickly and contribute meaningfully.
• Ability to trace data flow and logic end-to-end across a system.
• Experience owning an area of a system from development to production and beyond.
• Daily use of AI coding tools: writing specs, evaluating outputs, and selecting when to handcode.
• Strong written and spoken communication, able to explain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with LLM applications (retrieval, structured output, orchestration, context management).
• Interest in how consultants and deal teams work.

Responsabilidades

• Ship features from refined requirements to production across frontend and backend.
• Own areas of the platform such as a data pipeline, a service, or a UI.
• Work on the LLM-backed core of the product, including extraction, retrieval, chat and content generation.
• Use AI coding agents as part of the development workflow and review agent output closely.
• Build the tests, evals and checks that make AI-assisted changes quick to verify and safe to ship.
• Collaborate with consultants, product and design to sharpen requirements early.
