Job summary

Gates Foundation in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and govern AI-powered experiences across Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Azure AI services. You will create reusable patterns for agents, copilots, workflows, and knowledge sources while aligning with data protection and security requirements.

Qualifications

10+ years of relevant experience in AI engineering, software engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, Microsoft 365 engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Hands-on experience building, integrating, or operating enterprise AI solutions using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, AI agents, prompt engineering, workflow orchestration, or AI-enabled automation.
Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID, PowerShell, APIs, or related Microsoft cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

Design, build, integrate, govern, and operate AI-powered experiences across Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI services, and related tools.
Define and operate engineering standards for enterprise agents and governance, partnering with cross-functional teams.
Establish patterns for control, deployment, and reusable components across Copilot Studio and Power Platform.
