Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise seeks a Senior AI Engineer for the SMAI Platform to build, operate, and scale AI workloads and analytics platforms powering Micron's data initiatives.

You will collaborate with global teams, implement Terraform for IaC, manage Apache Kafka and Kubernetes in production, monitor performance and costs, and contribute to security and reliability across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• 2–4 years in platform administration or cloud engineering.
• Hands-on with Kafka, Kubernetes, and Terraform; ML workloads familiar.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global teams to deliver platform solutions.
• Design, implement, and optimize IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and IaC using Terraform.
• Document procedures, patterns, and collaboration notes.
• Provide high-quality platform support and maintain service standards.
• Monitor performance, costs, security, and reliability of platforms.
• Partner with teams to enable AI-driven solutions and scalable architectures.
