Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Developer Tools organization, building and guiding a high-performing engineering team and setting strategic priorities from exploration to production. You will collaborate with product managers, AI/ML teams, and OCI service groups to deliver AI-powered developer experiences while balancing experimentation with disciplined execution.

The role requires strong people leadership, architectural judgment, and a track record of delivering complex platforms

Qualifications

10+ years software engineering with 3+ years of management experience.
Ability to lead through ambiguity and define direction with incomplete information.
Strong foundation in distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
Proven track record building, developing, and retaining engineering teams.
Experience delivering complex initiatives from exploration to production delivery.
Understanding of AI/ML and LLMs in developer tools.

Responsibilities

Build and grow a high-performing engineering organization, hiring and developing leaders while fostering ownership and customer focus.
Define engineering priorities and translate AI opportunities into actionable roadmaps.
Drive the engineering strategy for AI-powered developer tools and workflows.
Partner with product, data science, and OCI teams to align on shared goals and drive cross-team initiatives.
Provide strong technical leadership across distributed systems ensuring scale, security, and reliability.
Establish rapid experimentation mechanisms and data-driven decision making.
Ensure predictable execution across multiple initiatives and remove blockers.
Define success metrics for developer experiences and refine strategy accordingly.
Develop senior engineers and leaders through coaching and sponsorship.
Represent the organization in architecture reviews and leadership forums.
