Job summary

Cisco’s CX Engineering organization seeks a Software Engineering Technical Leader to drive the next generation of enterprise AI and cloud-native platforms. You will define multi-year roadmaps, mentor leaders, and align diverse teams toward unified goals.

You will architect high-scale, secure systems, lead governance with ARBs, and partner with product executives to translate strategy into actionable plans across global pods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related experience or Master’s with 6+ years of related experience.
• 4+ years of software development experience as a Technical Lead or similar role across large-scale systems.
• Proficiency in Python for production-grade microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud-native ecosystems (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, and automated CI/CD.
• Experience designing high-concurrency, distributed data pipelines and messaging systems (Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB/Cassandra).
• Experience with API contracts (gRPC, REST, GraphQL) and domain-driven design (DDD).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and topologies for multi-tenant cloud platforms.
• Architect AI applications including RAG, agentic workflows, and LLM orchestrations.
• Design fault-tolerant, high-throughput distributed systems with multi-region data persistence.
• Enforce zero-trust integration patterns and data protection while meeting enterprise SLOs.
• Drive global architecture reviews and champion API contracts, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability.
• Mentor Lead Software Engineers and align technologies toward enterprise goals.
• Collaborate with product and engineering executives to translate strategy into execution blueprints.
