Job summary

TeamViewer is building an advanced AI platform in Austin, TX, seeking a senior architect to own the architecture of our AI systems. You will define agent orchestration, tool integration, and context management while ensuring security and cost efficiency across deployments.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in software engineering, deep AI/agent expertise, and hands-on Python and TypeScript development, working with enterprise-scale products, multi-tenancy, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering large-scale systems.
• Deep expertise in AI and agent-based architectures, including tool-using agents and context engineering.
• Experience bringing AI-powered products into enterprise production environments with security and compliance in mind.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of TeamViewer's AI platform, defining how agents discover context and access tools.
• Define platform architecture for agent orchestration, tool integration, context management, memory, and trust boundaries.
• Establish standards for evaluating and monitoring AI systems, including observability and production tracing.
• Drive architectural decisions around model selection, routing, and cost optimization.
• Partner with Security to design safeguards for AI systems including permission controls and auditability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams during planning and delivery.
• Lead architecture reviews and maintain clear documentation.
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks related to scalability and compliance.
