Job summary

Innodata Inc. is recruiting US-based experts to review AI-generated building-code determinations on architectural plans. You will verify, correct, and justify pass/fail outcomes with cited sources, contributing high-quality training signals for the system.

The role requires hands-on permitting experience (2+ years) and strong knowledge of IBC/IRC codes, with preference for those familiar with certain states. This is expert review work, not data entry, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• ICC certification and permit review experience required.
• 2+ years US permitting experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with AZ, CA, FL or TX a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and correct pass/fail verdicts, written rationales, and citation boxes on PDF plans using the in-tool editing toolkit.
• QA and correct labeling of AI-generated outputs; grade agent performance against a real permit reviewer.
• Interpret permitting checklists as an experienced reviewer; apply requirements to submitted plans.
• Trace checklist requirements to IBC, IRC or other codes; explain which requirement applies and why.
