Qualifications

• ICC certification and experience reviewing permit applications.
• US-based with 2+ years permitting experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Plan examiner or CBO credentials with jurisdiction experience (AZ/CA/FL/TX preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review and correct pass/fail verdicts, written rationales, and citation boxes on PDF plans using the in-tool editing toolkit.
• QA and correct labeling: Review AI-generated outputs, fix mislabeled data, and grade agent performance against what a real permit reviewer would conclude.
• Interpret permitting checklists as an experienced reviewer would, applying the relevant requirements to the submitted plans.
• Trace checklist requirements to their applicable source: IBC, IRC or other model codes, state building codes, or county/jurisdiction-specific amendments. Explain which requirement applies and why.
