Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design and support ultra-low-latency network infrastructure for large-scale GPU and AI environments. The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies such as NVIDIA Spectrum and Cumulus Linux.

The successful candidate will design, deploy, and operate large-scale 400G network fabrics and optimize network performance. This position offers a competitive base salary of around $225,000 along with benefits like stock options and remote working options.

Qualifications

• Looking for deep experience in network engineering within data center, HPC, or cloud environments.
• Must have strong hands-on experience with NVIDIA Spectrum and Cumulus Linux.
• Experience with automation tools such as Python, Ansible, Bash, Terraform is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate large-scale 400G network fabrics supporting AI and HPC workloads.
• Build and maintain high-performance data center networking using NVIDIA Spectrum switches.
• Optimize network performance across GPU clusters.

Skills

Deep experience in network engineering within data center environments

Strong hands-on experience with NVIDIA Spectrum switching platforms

Experience designing and operating 100G/400G Ethernet fabrics

Deep understanding of modern data center networking protocols (BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, MLAG, ECMP)

Strong Linux systems knowledge and network automation skills

Experience with automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible, Bash, Terraform)

Familiarity with AI/HPC traffic patterns and GPU cluster networking requirements

Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization capabilities
