Job summary

EY's Office of the CTO is seeking senior engineers for the Advanced Forward Engineering (AFE) team to design, build, and deliver AI-native systems into highly regulated client environments such as tax, finance, and risk.

We are looking for engineers who can own end-to-end delivery, embed with client teams, and ensure solutions are deployable, auditable, and trusted in production while writing production-quality code and collaborating across platform, architecture, security and governance

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering complex software in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Experience in customer-facing or consulting engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying distributed systems, APIs, or data-intensive apps.
• Practical experience with modern AI stacks (LLM-backed systems, agentic workflows).
• Proven track record owning delivery in real-world conditions.
• Production-grade code operating under compliance, performance and reliability constraints.
• Ability to work with engineering, architecture, security and governance teams.

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with client teams to frame problems and define delivery paths under constraints.
• Own end-to-end delivery outcomes from shaping through deployment and sustainment.
• Implement and manage AI-enabled workflows, agentic systems, and integrations.
• Write and review production-quality code (LangGraph, Python, orchestration layers).
• Make real-time delivery tradeoffs balancing function, safety, cost, and timelines.
• Ensure security, AI integrity and FinOps constraints with control authorities.
• Capture field learnings and feedback to improve platform evolution.
• Collaborate with integration, platform, and architecture teams to reduce rework.
