Job summary

Lansweeper is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build an AI-native platform in Austin, TX. You will contribute to the Redjack integration team, designing scalable backend systems and validating AI-generated outputs in an AI-assisted development environment.

This hybrid role requires 10+ years of software engineering experience, strong API and distributed systems skills, and a drive to shape architecture while collaborating with Product, UX, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals: testing, version control, CI/CD, code review.
• Proven experience in C, C++, or Rust.
• Experience building backend or distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, APIs, and SOA.
• Experience designing scalable and reliable systems.
• Practical experience in an AI-assisted development environment.
• Experience with SQL.
• Knowledge of networks and hardware infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build maintainable, scalable, observable, and well-tested software systems.
• Operate in an AI-augmented development workflow, decomposing problems and validating AI-generated outputs.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and long-term system evolution.
• Apply strong system thinking across data models, APIs, distributed systems, and service boundaries.
• Produce clear technical documentation, structured prompts, and design proposals.
• Mentor peers and collaborate with Product, UX, and Engineering teams.
