Job summary

qlub is scaling payments technology for restaurants worldwide. As a Software Engineer, you will design, build, and operate secure payment services and AI-powered workflows, integrating with POS systems and payment providers.

You’ll use AI-assisted development across the lifecycle while maintaining high standards for security and reliability. You’ll work with engineers, operators, and partners to turn frictionless payments into growth, with ownership from day one in a fast-growing fintech

Qualifications

• Production‑grade software experience.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Golang development experience.
• Hands-on with LLM APIs, tool calling, retrieval generation, or agentic workflows.
• Experience designing secure, scalable software solutions.
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, asynchronous processing and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in databases, data modelling and design.
• Experience with POS systems, payment providers, or complex third‑party integrations.
• Experience building or integrating production AI applications.
• Understanding AI-system risks including hallucinations and prompt injection.
• Experience with automated testing, observability, debugging and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate secure, scalable payment services and workflows.
• Maintain integrations with POS systems, payment providers, and partners.
• Utilize AI‑assisted development tools for all stages of the software lifecycle.
• Develop AI‑powered workflows that retrieve data, call tools, and act.
• Implement permissions, guardrails, observability, and safe fallbacks for agentic systems.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve speed, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Write clean, tested, well‑documented code following security best practices.
• Participate in technical design discussions and standards.
