Job summary

The Mutual Group is seeking a hands-on AI systems validator in Atlanta, GA to perform independent validation of AI/ML models impacting underwriting and claims. You will review vendor docs, assess risk, and provide technical input to governance decisions.

The role supports governance teams and acts as a second-line reviewer to challenge assumptions. This position offers hybrid work with some in-office training; 5+ years in data science or model risk is preferred, along with experience in

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data science, model risk management, or AI/ML validation.
• Experience working with predictive models in regulated environments (insurance or financial services preferred).
• Ability to translate technical findings into business and risk implications.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent validation of AI/ML models, including assessment of model risk.
• Review vendor-provided Factsheets and technical documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Provide independent validation input into AI governance decisions and participate in governance reviews.
• Lead twice-annual validation of AI Systems and monitor model performance and risk thresholds.
• Maintain model validation documentation and support inquiries with technical analysis.
