Job summary

Citi is seeking a Gen AI Validator, Officer (Hybrid) to independently review and challenge AI/ML systems within Model Risk Management. You will work across business lines to ensure responsible AI governance and risk controls, engaging with developers, governance teams, and regulators.

The role emphasizes analytical rigor and effective communication. The position offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with opportunities to influence risk standards across markets

Qualifications

• Master's degree or above in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, data science, AI, machine learning, or a related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of analytics experience in financial services or related industry, with at least 2 years on Generative AI, Agentic AI or ML.
• Hands-on technical knowledge of common AI/ML techniques and their financial applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent reviews and challenge AI/ML systems across full lifecycle.
• Assess AI/ML implementations against risk policies and testing standards.
• Engage with developers, governance teams, internal audit and regulators to provide evidence-based guidance.
