Qualifications

• PhD in an engineering/technical field with quantitative focus.
• 5+ years of research experience after PhD or equivalent body of work.
• Experience deploying AI/ML models into production with customer impact.
• Experience in NLP/LLMs, graph neural networks, anomaly detection, deep learning, or probabilistic modeling.
• Software development skills.
• Publication record in relevant venues.

Responsibilities

• Invent scientifically-complex threat intelligence problems and frame research questions.
• Drive the scientific agenda for AI/ML within ACTI and secure management buy-in.
• Extend ML techniques for cybersecurity: anomaly detection, few-shot learning, graph-based reasoning.
• Publish research at peer-reviewed venues.
• Design, build, and deploy production AI/ML systems processing threat data at scale.
• Partner with ACTI engineering teams to integrate models into platforms.
• Develop end-to-end solutions including data pipelines and evaluation frameworks.
• Mentor engineers/analysts and represent ACTI in Amazon's science community.
