Job summary

DePuy Synthes is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to help evolve our AI/ML platform for flexible model training, fine-tuning, transformation and evaluation across surgical navigation initiatives. You will participate in product planning to define timelines and build production-grade systems that deliver real clinical impact on-device and in the cloud.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive model improvements with cutting-edge techniques, and contribute to regulatory documentation and V&V

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in machine learning engineering.

Responsibilities

• Be a key contributor in evolving DePuy Synthes' AI/ML platform for training, fine-tuning, transformation and evaluation across surgical navigation initiatives.
• Participate in product planning to define development timelines.
• Build production-ready AI/ML systems on-device and in the cloud with real clinical impact.
• Mentor junior AI/ML software engineers.
• Drive model improvements using modern techniques for evaluation and tuning.
• Contribute to regulatory documentation, traceability, and V&V per IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and FDA 510(k) guidance.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum workflows, lead design/code reviews for maintainability.
